While everybody is busy for 2nd half of the day today...
I felt my time stopped at a speedy halt when I discovered............
www.thephotoz.com (sila lihat gambar contoh ini)

Actually, I was mesmerized.
For the lovers of creative photography kindly take note. Me and Feryal discovered Mr Zung at Nina's wedding reception here:
when he was there to take shots of the wedding. I noticed him all along taking mood shots, stealing candid laughters of happy faces and objects, creating subject out of almost everything around him. Just like the way my sister Dels always do.
This is one photographer I seriously respect habis giler because his photography is FAAAAAAAR from those kind of pictures where the bride and groom take pictures pegang2 on the bed in the bedroom, posing with one hand on shoulder, bla bla bla.. No, never would you find his work like that.
I totally love his work and the way he composed angles.. damn cantik!!! (as u all can see at the link above), he gave his number to us and this link and Feryal already thought of a special function sometime in the near future to hire them for photographs. *wink*. I also thought like that la. Huhuuu....
Nina girl... all my prayers to you and Amri for a wonderful life ahead. The journey is just beginning.

The day me and Mak Andeh went to school
Why would me and Mak Andeh have to go to school for?
To send our two last-borns of course! *beam proudly now that they are big babies arredy!*
The final check of everything (all the school necessities from bag to uniform and preferred hairstyle to school, forms filled out to submit to teacher, amount of final payments of fees.. bla bla bla) started off after dinner on the eve of the first schooling day of 2005.
The kids when to bed early.
Before pushing off to school before 1 pm (both of them are in afternon session) they got themselves some last minute check at the mirror with my reminder to Danial "Adiiiik, no perfume and aftershave to school!" (ohh yes...this is no doubt some metrosexual male in the making la ni hasil training daddy!)
I drove both of them, parking at the roadside was a hassle so wut the heck, I just parked at the "RM2.00 SEKALI MASUK" area. Worth it.
Before stepping out of the car, I gave both of them some last "mommy-daughter-son" briefing where both of them nodding away like one of those toy pets you find on dashboards of taxicabs in town.
Daniel beaming all the way on his first school day and off we went to the assembly area for Year One. Found his class kids in a row. Sent him there, take photographs of him and his friends. I left him there for about 10 mintues on his own to listen to briefing while I went off to send Farah to her class. Found out that her teacher this year which I would say quite a bit of "something like MummyChomel's boss now" specie. He's nice tho. Very nice and friendly. Talkative and very pro-active I should say :D.
My daughter knows exactly what to do and where to go, so, immediately when we reached her assembly area, she caught the sight of her friends and they sat together right away to catch up and walk together to class. Gave her a kiss and off I went again to the other block.
Daniel and classmates walked off to class as we parents followed from behind. He had coloring sessions while the teacher meet up with parents. He made friends right away for some of them are existing friends from his kindy. The children are more independant that I thought and looking at them carrying themselves, I feel that I'm the one who over-pamper them sometimes. I mean.. Daniel was just a baby like... yesterday!! and today he's at school. :)
Lunchtime, he looked for me at the spot where I told him to come. While waiting for the kids to come out, I was seated in the canteen, reading some magz, when a voice came up and said "Dona?". I tried to register the face as one of my relatives but... while my brain clockworks were churning hard, I lighted up seeing Mak Andeh! So I went "Kak H? (her real name)" and so we said our hellos. I barely remember how she looked like because my otak is always blur and karat and because we only met once at lunch in Bangsar but the only thing she looks more beautiful yesterday. Must be the glow from winning Anugerah Weblog Wanita Terbaik Gengjurnal. cewah! Go MA.
Her son, Adik (or H) is a first year student as well but in a different class from Daniel.
We had a brief talk before the kids started pouring out for break. My goodness, as usual, first days, the canteen is full and looks as though you are in the cave scene in teh movie Indiana Jones and The Temple of Doom.
Daniel bought a packet of Nasi Lemak himself and drank from his new tumbler. Emememem .. nampak sedih (touched) when I see my son is like... well... like that! Dah besarr!
He told me all about what happened in class and the name of his new-found friends. How his teacher is so baik and kind (yeah, we always thought like that abt our Standard One teachers.. as I grew up there are more bitches than teachers in the school sometimes).
He finished his coloring first (as always) and he read his books after that. Smart boy.
I send him to line up at the assembly area again after recess, while watching him walk off to class... a familiar voice came up from behind saying sweetly inhigh pitch "HI MAMA!" and grinning as usual. The angelic familiar face alright. Farhana came to check on Adik with her friend and she said she's gonna do that everyday. *woah.. sedih lagi (touched)* I said thank you kakak. Talked to her for a while before she made her own way to see adik and off to have her break. Her recess time is right after the juniors.
That's about all I can write about Daniel's first day at school.
There are more to this in years to come, but I can see that my children have moved on PAST my worries that they will cry on the first day at school or is there anything not enough that I have provided for them as school day approaches.
I pray that he will remain as good as Farah does. Alhamdulillah... all went great.
I took some pictures and uploaded them in my textamerica and can be viewed here.

Birthday for my Wife and New Year
Written by Jr on 1st January 2005:
Its that time of the year again where we will see another year gone by (where we manage to survive) and looking forward to another year that, hopefully will bring prosperity, new resolution etc.
For me I have two celebrations, one is New Year and the other, my darling’s birthday.
Its strange how, especially for I am intrigued when disasters like tsunami, earthquake etc tend to happen on a certain time of the year. I was informed that between December 22 till December 31, 2004, four bright planets are easily visible in the morning sky, every morning 45 minutes before sunrise, through early January. It is said to be visible throughout North America. I’m not sure if this has anything to do with the current disasters that we have been facing, but based on history, planets alignment, meteorite movements and something I remembered something from Nostradamus, which says a lot of things were going to happen, where one of it did mention a meteorite that would pass by the planet earth very close and would cause disaster that happened in the south America, and if memory serves, caused a lot of death. I also recently remembered an article that appeared in the Malay Mail (was covered briefly, obviously not an interesting subject in Malaysia, wonder why) regarding a crop circle that was found in England Opposite Silbury Hill, Wiltshire which resembles an elaborate circular formation with arcs and graduated segments, resembling a 'Greek key'. This Crop Circle features an Ancient Egypt mosaic in the center and symbols from the Mayan Calendar around the rim. The Calendar predicted the end of the world in 2012.
Interesting huh, well let’s hope it doesn’t happen then coz I remember Nostradamus saying that he saw the world end somewhere much later.
Anyway, whatever the reason that may cause such disasters, its back to basics on God Almighty’s will, we must remember we are lucky where we are and we should be thankful for what we have and to remember those who are in dire need and to lend a hand where we can.
On another note we spend New Year in a posh restaurant (first time being there myself that was introduced by a friend) that I must say was money well spent, food was excellent and the atmosphere was wonderful and cozy. I personally love the feel there. I’m glad that I didn’t have to be in the middle of K.L. coz im sure the havoc would have no words to describe it.
Another big year was my darling’s birthday where we celebrated with a dinner and gave her the well deserved present she has been waiting for (which I must say I receive something very satisfying in return ahem ..ahem.. )
I hope 2005 will bring a better year than we had with less murdering, disasters and shocking news for which we are mature and educated being where we should be able to think of doing more rather than anything less than being inhuman.

Thank God Almighty - for we are here and we are luckier
We are here in 2005. Safe and sound and in peace.
Newspapers, TV, online news.... gosh... I broke down at the Mamak Barber kedai today in the arms of my husband, while Daniel is having his haircut. We purchased some newspapers to read while waiting, and my heart just bled.
A HUMUNGOUS thank you to my whole family for the beautiful gifts, some are even handmade, straight from the heart. To the thoughtful friends, the friendship and the thoughts are greater than the gifts. (I love the giftss!!!). This is one special and different birthday. For the very first time, our family didnt spend it in the midst of a maddening party crowd. We had dinner in MONTE'S, Bangsar Shopping Centre, with Pastas, Steaks, Lobsters, Chicken and not forgetting a Brownie birthday cake (??). Got our party packs alright and we pulled the strings of the crackers and sprayed noodle-like party strings (the kids calls this "Ma, spray la the mee!") among ourselves and wished each other Happy New Year with warm hugs and kisses. With that we ended 2004.

Birthday is over. I am 31+ already. Soon by god's will, before I know it, I will be 41. My daughter will be a 20 year old then. My soft, sweet, crazy-about-anything-pink daughter, Farhana.
I imagine, if she is going to be married by that age like I did (20 years old gitu). I leave it all in the hands of the Almighty for her jodoh. My one and only daughter.
Daniel is going to be in Standard One. I have made sure of his school needs are complete. For him to step into his new Primary School world without anything less if possible. To have what I use to have. To raise him and Farhana the way my parents did me. My separate lives with my ex husband doesnt stop us from raising the kids together. Putting in our money/effort/blood/sweat/tears toiled in making sure of their needs all the same just like while we were together. Aided once in a while by our respective spouses now, I see us all as one big happy family.
We may not have much, but we have our own priorities to enjoy life. We believe in that. We believe in that strongly together. We believe in closeness. We believe in making each other within close reach. So close that its an achievement to me and I felt I have been a good sister whenever I see oene of my sisters put out statements like these, like what she wrote in one of her Friendster Bulletin questionnaire:
7. WHEN YOU'RE DOWN OR NEED HELP,
WHO DO YOU CALL?
my sister dona
Reminds me a bit of "Who're you gonna call?... GHOSTBUSTERS!!!" ya know, that Ray Parker Jr song.. errr anyone remember? errrr ....nevermind.
Hey.. here is part of Dana's birthday gift. Me likey!

****************************************************************************
The only downside of all these you're happy, you have this, you have that, you're this, you're that..... are people's jealousy and wrath that could just bring you down when you are not careful and give too much face.
