we were real game freaks. We kinda had everything from Sega to Playstation to PS2. We were hooked on Tomb Raider, Gran Turismo, Need for Speed (asyik berangan beli kereta only!), the likes. When PS2 came, by that time we first got it was in year 2001 when it was still selling at RM1300 when it first came out. By then, Tomb Raider had been upgraded as well. Of course, the Sims came along. Its no surprise that our children are game freaks as well. Of course as parents they had to be controlled. Sometimes they do drive us up the wall when they become a wee bit degil! grrrrrr........... Recently some system have been worked out for them. Which is the Star Redemption system. This is based on Star earnings (draw a star on their Drawing Board whenever they earn it) where for every 5 stars, they get to redeem one hour of PS2 session. This is to encourage discipline as well for them to gain reward. Some motivation there eh, the PS2. The things they do for "a living" (to earn stars) are basically studies of course, finish a few pages of sums with minimal mistakes or no mistakes at all, do some comprehension, help with dishes, help with laundry and with chores around the house. This way, Mama/Mummy/Papa/Daddy is happy and so are they (when they redeem their 5-stars for the hour-long of game session). Lately, independence had been shown between them, tolerance, less fighting/arguing and more discipline and the stars are not redeemed immediatey sometimes. They tend to just do it not for that sake! I'm so proud of these babies o'mine. ********************************************************** On the other scene of our life.......
